China: reasons for the decline in consumer willingness to spend 2022 | Statista

Consumer surveys conducted among Chinese consumers in November 2022 revealed that the decreased demand due to COVID-19 was one of the biggest reasons for a lower willingness to shop. Approximately 34 percent of respondents cited decreased household income as a major reason for them to shop less.
