Funding of cannabis companies in Latin America 2022
As of January 2023, ICC Labs had attracted investments of 18 million U.S. dollars. ICC Labs is a company headquartered in Montevideo, Uruguay, and dedicated to the production of cannabinoid extracts. As of that date, Khiron, a medical cannabis company based in the city of Bogotá, Colombia, had attracted investments of close to 13 million U.S. dollars. As of 2021, the market value of cannabis for medical use in Latin America was estimated at 14.2 billion U.S. dollars.
