As reported in a 2023 study by Muck Rack, four Indian journalists were ranked among the leading 10 Twitter accounts of verified journalists globally with the most number of followers. Among the four, Rajat Sharma, editor-in-chief of India TV, had the most Twitter followers, totaling 10.5 million. India Today's most prominent news anchor, Rajdeep Sardesai, trailed second with just over nine million Twitter followers that year.
