Suspected perpetrators of revenge porn reported by women in the UK 2021

In 2021, 60 percent of the reports issued by female victims to the United Kingdom Revenge Porn Helpline had the victim's previous or current partner as the suspected perpetrator. In comparison, 22 percent of UK women who were a victim of revenge porn and non-consensual image-sharing reported suspecting a known person in their life. Only six percent of reports saw an unknown person being indicated as suspected perpetrator, while 11 percent of reports pointed at semi-organized criminality gangs.
