It is clear that both in-store and online shopping have different advantages. In Q4 2022, around 81 percent of respondents in Germany said that in terms of comparing prices and saving time, shopping online was better. In contrast, 71 percent of respondents felt that shopping in-store led to better social interaction. Interestingly, although in many categories shopping online performs better, 60 percent of respondents still felt that the better overall shopping experience took place in-store.

21,770 consumers participated to the survey in the following countries: the U.S., UK, Australia, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Sweden, Norway, and Finland.
The sample sizes are nationally representative, naturally including both Klarna users and non-Klarna users.
