Global natural gas discoveries share 2023-2024, by region

Latin America and the Caribbean was the region with the largest share of discovered natural gas reserves in April 2024. That month, the region accounted for 47 percent of all new discoveries by volume. By comparison, discoveries in Europe accounted for eight percent.
