Global attitudes towards refugees 2023

In a survey conducted in the spring of 2023, nearly three in four of the respondents were of the opinion that people should be able to seek refuge from war and persecution, also in their country. Nearly half of the respondents thought that refugees make a positive contribution to their country, and nearly half disagreed with the statement that borders must be closed to refugees entirely.
