According to a survey conducted in Chile, the share of adults who consulted with a mental health professional since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic increased among both genders between August 2021 and May 2022. During that time, the share of adult women who had consulted with a mental health practitioner rose from 20.5 percent to around 40.8 percent. Meanwhile, the share of adult men who sought assistance from a mental health professional grew by about 17.3 percentage points.
