Dispensed HRT prescription items in England 2023/24, by net ingredient cost

In the financial year 2023/24, estradiol had the highest net ingredient cost of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) prescription items in England at some 84 million British pounds. This was followed by estradiol with progestogen which had a net ingredient cost of some 70 million British pounds. HRT medications are principally used and prescribed for symptoms related to menopause and perimenopause.
