As of June 2024, the United Kingdom was the country with the largest wind power capacity under construction within Europe, at around eight gigawatts. Ranking second and third were Nordic countries Sweden and Finland, where 3.3 and 2.5 gigawatts of new wind capacity were being built, respectively. Meanwhile, the European country with the largest solar power capacity under construction was Spain.
