With 2.4 billion U.S. dollars, contributions from the United States made up the highest amount of contributions to the Untied Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in 2022. Of these, nearly 2.2 billion dollars were governmental contributions. Germany, the second largest donor, contributed a total of nearly 623.5 million dollars. Since 2013, the number of both refugees and internally displaced persons in the world increased.
