Expenditure distribution for online international conventions Japan 2020-2022

During COVID-19 between 2020 and 2022, 34 percent of international conferences hosted by organizers in Japan that were held online entailed expenses between one and five million Japanese yen. This was the most common expense category, followed by online conferences that cost up to one million yen. The advent of the COVID-19 pandemic forced the majority of organizers to change in-person events to online or hybrid events.
