Low prices were the leading impression consumers in Japan had of private label products, as revealed in a survey conducted in October 2022. Around 83 percent of respondents stated that the most prominent image they had of private brands was that the products were inexpensive. Supporting this image, no respondents considered that the products emitted an air of luxury.
