Favorite consumer brands in Africa 2022
In 2022, a survey showed that Mazoe was a leading brand in Africa with a 98 percent preference rate. Mazoe is a juice brand from Zimbabwe, produced by Schweppes Holding Africa Limited and licensed by Coca-Cola. Another high consumer preference rate, with 88 percent, was given to Real Bull, a rum brand produced by Unique Beverage SA in Angola. Furthermore, alcoholic beverages are popular among consumers in Africa. Diageo, the British alcoholic beverage company, has five of its brands among the most popular African brands, including Uganda Waragi, Smirnoff, Captain Morgan, Gordon's Gin, and Malta Guinness.
