According to a survey carried out among postmenopausal women in five European countries, around half of women who did not take any hormone treatment for their menopause-related symptoms did so because they believed there was no need to treat the menopause since it passes by itself. Furthermore, around 40 percent of respondents in Germany also did not take hormone therapy due to concerns about side effects.
