Since the last seven decades, not a single year has gone by without a social movement disrupting the operations of the Société National des Chemins de fer Français (SCNF), resulting in a high number of working days lost for the company. In 1947, the French railway company lost three million working days during labor action. Since then, the year in which the most working days were lost was 1968, with an average of 14.63 days per employee.
