According to a survey from November 2022, younger age groups were more likely to watch HBO Max that features advertising on a daily basis than their older counterparts. 11 percent of surveyed Americans between 18 and 34 years stated to have watched this video streaming option on a daily basis during the month prior to the survey. Among respondents aged 65 years or older, this share stood at just one percent. Also, this age group was by far the most likely to not have used HBO Max with ads at all, with a share of 93 percent.
