On average, 78 percent of Africans felt that this was a great achievement for the whole continent. The country with the highest of such sentiment was Morocco, 93 percent of respondents felt this way. Moreover, Morocco's performance at the World Cup has certainly been a source of pride for both the country and the African continent. The results of the survey highlight the impact that sports can have on people's emotions and sense of national identity.
