Sales of EVs in Malaysia 2021-2023
In 2023, there were more than 10,000 electric vehicles (EVs) sold in Malaysia, an increase by around 7,500 compared to the number of electric vehicles sold in the previous year. The sales of EVs in the country is expected to increase more, especially with the tax exemption from import and excise duties for EVs until the end of 2024.
