One day before the demonstration against pension reform scheduled for January 19, 2023, more than one quarter of French people (27 percent) were considering going to the demonstration.
Those most likely to go to the demonstration were people between the ages of 25 and 34, relatively recent entrants to the workforce (36 percent), and those between 50 and 64, for whom retirement was fairly imminent. Conversely, only 12 percent of people over 65 and predominantly already retired, and therefore not affected by the reform, planned to protest.
