The largest share of used cars sold in France in 2021 had the yellow Crit'Air 2 sticker, amounting to nearly 2.2 million sales. Used cars with the purple Crit'Air 1 sticker were the second best-selling type in the country, at some 1.63 million units sold. The Crit'Air stickers are air quality certificates which are used to show a road vehicle's compliance with European emission standards.
