White applicants accounted for the largest number of home purchase applications, amounting to over five million worth 1.6 trillion U.S. dollars, while for Black and African American applicants, these figure stood at roughly 685,000 applications worth 176 billion U.S. dollars . The number of home purchase mortgage applications by Asian applicants was slightly lower at 592,000.
