The largest share of respondents to an October 2022 survey considered 3 to 4 weeks of delivery time to be an acceptable length of time to wait for their new vehicle, if it meant this vehicle came with all the specifications they wanted. The United States recorded the largest share of respondents who expected delivery times under a week, with 18 percent of U.S. participants mentioning this as an acceptable length of time to wait.

The sample included 707 participants form China, 1,278 participants from Germany, 957 participants from India, 670 participants from Japan, 893 participants from South Korea, and 1,881 participants from the United States.
