According to a survey on gender equality in South Korea in 2021, about 33.3 percent of male respondents aged 60 years and older answered that women should have the primary responsibility of childcare even if they work. It was higher than the respondents' share of any other age or gender group. Compared to that, only 5.9 percent of young female respondents agreed with it.
