Among Generation Z consumers in the U.S., ingredients are the most important factor when choosing foods to snack on, according to a 2022 study. About 37 percent of Gen Z survey respondents stated that ingredients had a significant influence on their choice. About a quarter of respondents said that calorie count has no impact at all on their snacking decisions.
