Based on the number of planned projects, the United Kingdom will be the leading country for high voltage direct current (HVDC) projects installed in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa between 2022 and 2025, with a total of 17 projects in the pipeline. Germany and Italy follow, with six and four projects in the pipeline, respectively, during that timeframe. Several other EMEA countries are projected to start one HVDC project over the period under consideration, including Norway, Cyprus, Denmark, Greece, Ireland, Romania, Spain, Iceland, Lithuania, Tunisia, and the United Arab Emirates.
