Methods of finding employment by Ukrainian refugees in Poland 2022

In 2022, 24 percent of Ukrainian refugees found their current employment on the recommendation of friends or the family. Whereas, 23 percent found it through local government and 22 percent found the employer themselves.

Supplementary notes

Interviews were conducted in Ukrainian with Ukrainian citizens. The research was conducted in two cities - Warsaw and Kraków. In addition, interviews were conducted in the vicinity of places where PESEL numbers were collected, near train stations and reception points for refugees. The survey was random, which ensured its representativeness. The cross-sectional nature of the respondents is confirmed by the fact that they included residents of all regions of Ukraine, representatives of different age groups, professions, education levels, and urban and rural residents.
