Consumer clothing disposal behavior Australia 2022
In a survey conducted in 2022 among Depop users in Australia, around 62 percent of respondents shared that donating clothing to a charity shop or putting clothing in a charity donation bag was their preferred way of disposing of clothing items. Selling clothing to friends or on a second-hand resale platform, such as Depop, was also popular among respondents.
