North America was the global leader for distribution transformer units as of 2021, accounting for 46 percent of the worldwide installed base. The United States and Canada were the two largest markets in the region. The fast-growing powers of the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region followed at 32 percent. By comparison, only three percent of the installed base belonged to the Middle East and Africa.
In the same year, the APAC region ranked first for distribution transformer market share at almost 50 percent, while North America lagged behind at 21 percent.
