According to a survey conducted in 2022, about 40 percent of 67 to 80-year-olds in the Netherlands expected not to enjoy shopping as a pastime 10 years from now. Specifically, about a quarter of this older age group expected it to be "not fun", while about 16 percent said it would be "no fun at all" by then.
