Victor Manuel Gerena was the fugitive who had spent the longest time ever on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list as of March 2022, having been on the list between May 1984 and December 2016. Gerena has not been found, and is wanted in connection with the 1983 armed robbery of around seven million U.S. dollars from a security company in West Hartford, Connecticut. Donald Eugene Webb came in second, having spent 25 years on the list - between May 1981 and March 2007. Webb was a New England career criminal who went into hiding after he murdered police chief Gregory Adams at a traffic stop in 1980. His fate was unknown until 2018 - when his wife, Lillian, confessed to authorities that her husband had died of a stroke in 1999.
