According to the results of a survey conducted in 2022, about 57 percent of general retailers in the United Kingdom (UK) and the United States stated that they were planning to outsource payment method strategies to third party providers. In contrast, only 18.6 percent of the surveyed general retailers said that they intended to outsource the technologies handling refund processes.
