A 2022 report on Instagram influencers in India revealed that the leading influencer in terms of audience engagement in the South Asian market was Rupal Singh Chauhan, who created fashion, lifestyle, and food-related content with an engagement rate of 178 percent. Fashion, lifestyle, and beauty influencer Mehak Arora ranked second with 172 percent of engagement that year. Most Indian influencers ranked high on engagement in the nano or micro-influencer categories.
