In the last few years, the value of power generation equipment imported to Mexico repeatedly exceeded the value of power generation equipment exported. The key objective of Mexico's Electrical System Development Program (PRODESEN 2022-2036) is to increase the national production of energy, promoting the electricity supply to remote inhabited centers. Capacity additions of renewable solar photovoltaics and partly hydrogen-fueled combined cycle power plants are among the main targets of this country.
