A survey conducted in 2023 among Australian consumers revealed that only 21 percent of mortgage holders had successfully negotiated a better interest rate on their mortgage. Around 79 percent of mortgage holders surveyed had not managed to or had no intention of trying to negotiate a better interest rate.
