The majority of Gen Z consumers in the United States considered 45 minutes to be the ideal length for a TV show, according to a survey conducted in November 2022. On the contrary, viewers from Gen X and the baby boomer generation agreed rather strongly on an ideal length of one hour, as 40 percent and 61 percent of respondents from these generations opted for this answer. Millennials appeared to be undecided on this matter. Whereas 31 percent among them agreed with Gen X and the baby boomers on an ideal length of one hour, 28 percent each opted for 30 or 45 minutes.
