Ideal number of episodes for TV seasons according to U.S. viewers 2022, by generation

Apart from Generation X (born between 1965 and 1980), where TV series with six to 10 episodes per season were preferred, the other generations of TV viewers in the United States agreed on having 11 to 15 episodes per season as ideal, according to a survey conducted in November 2022. By contrast, a season with one to five episodes was the least favored length for millenials, Generation X, and baby boomers, whereas 20 and more episodes were the least ideal choice within Generation Z (born between 1997 and 2012).
