During a November 2021 survey carried out in Germany, 71 percent of respondents from Generation Z and Generation Y (also known as millennials) stated that they discovered new brands and products thanks to sponsored ads on social media and ecommerce websites. For Generation X the share stood at 62 percent, while for Baby Boomers and the Silent Generation it stood at 39 percent.
