In 2024, academics employed as professors in Poland earned at least 9370 zloty gross per month, a salary increase of 30 percent compared to the previous year. On the other hand, the basic salary of a university professor amounted to at least 83 percent of a professor's salary, 73 percent of the salary of an assistant professor, and no less than 50 percent of the salary of an assistant and other academic teachers. In Poland, the basic salary of a professor is the benchmark for determining the basic monthly salaries of academic staff employed in public universities.
