According to a survey by Rakuten Insight on e-payment usage in South Korea in 2022, over 63 percent of South Korean respondents aged 16 to 24 years old stated they increased their usage of digital payment services during the last year. Except for those aged 55 years and older, there were more respondents who answered that their e-payment usage had increased than not for all age groups.

The survey was conducted among 2,815 female and 3,426 male respondents.
The survey was conducted among
367 respondents aged 16 to 24 years,
1,347 respondents aged 25 to 34 years,
1,911 respondents aged 35 to 44 years,
1,694 respondents aged 45 to 54 years and
922 respondents aged 55 years and older.
Other surveyed countries included China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Taiwan.
