Stress level in school life South Korea 2022
According to a survey conducted in South Korea in 2022, about 35.6 percent of the surveyed students answered that they felt stress in their school life during the past two weeks. The stress level of college students or above was higher than that of elementary, middle, and high school students.
Stress levels among students
In the survey, about 40 percent of middle and high school students responded that they felt very stressed. This level differed by gender, as women were more likely to have felt stress than men. Further, stress was significantly higher among students in college, university, or higher levels of education, recording almost half of those feeling stressed in school in 2022.
Mental well-being of South Koreans
The level of general stress in South Korea has generally remained high. According to a survey, nearly 44 percent of respondents answered that they felt stress in 2022. This trend is also reflected in the workplace, as more than half the respondents said they felt stress at work. Outside of stress, about one in five people in a poll responded that they also experienced anxiety-related disorders such as anxiety disorder, PTSD, or phobias.
