Share of adults who believed paying for college was easy U.S. 2022, by age
According to a survey conducted in 2022, 53 percent of adults aged 45 to 64 years old believed that paying for college was very difficult in the United States - more than other age groups. Adults aged 65 and over were the least likely to think that paying for college was very difficult, at 43 percent. However, adults who were between 18 and 34 years old were most likely to believe that paying for college was somewhat easy in the United States.
