According to a survey conducted in August 2022 among people in Japan who were interested in the metaverse, 20 percent of the respondents were very interested in using cryptocurrencies or non-fungible tokens (NFTs) within a virtual space. Almost half of the respondents stated to be somewhat interested in this activity.
