Rental premium of environmentally certified offices in APAC region 2022, by market
Green offices in the Asia-Pacific region had higher rental rates on average than non-certified offices as of April 2022. In Bangkok, offices with sustainability certification achieved almost 19 percent higher rents, while in Tokyo, this figure was lower at two percent. Green offices include buildings with popular certification systems such as LEED and BREEAM, but also many local systems, such as China's Green Building Evaluation Label (GBEL) or India's Green Building Rating Systems (IGBC).
