In the first half of 2022, the French Caisse d'Amortissement de la Dette Sociale issued the highest value of social-linked bonds, amounting to almost 28 billion U.S. dollars. Asian Development Bank came in second, with 2.75 billion U.S. dollars. Irish AIB Group issued the lowest amount of social-linked bonds among the top ten issuers, issuing approximately 1.1 billion U.S. dollars. Social-linked bonds are fixed-income instruments which are tied to predefined social objectives.
