Likeliness of wearing ugly holiday sweaters in the U.S. 2022

Festive Christmas sweaters have become a yearly clothing must-have for those who enjoy going the extra mile when celebrating the holiday season. Recently, the more garish the sweater, the better – as ‘ugly holiday sweaters’ have become a common Christmastime accessory. However, not all Americans share the same level of enthusiasm for this specific piece of Yuletide attire.

According to a survey conducted in the United States in December 2022, 13 percent of adults reported to be very likely to wear an ugly holiday sweater for the upcoming holiday season, and 18 percent said they were somewhat likely to do so. Overall, 68 percent of U.S. adults said they were not at all likely to wear a festive holiday jumper.
