The number of corruption cases registered in the European Union's justice agency increased considerably in the last five years, going from 78 instances in 2016 to 112 in 2021.

As of 2021, the top EU Member States involved in corruption cases recorded at Eurojust were Greece, Germany, Romania, Italy and Spain. Greece also ranked first when it came to the perception of corruption among its citizens.
