While most of the companies created in 2022 in the French overseas regions were in the wholesale and retail trade, transportation, accommodation and food services sector, differences exist depending on the region in question. For example, more than 32 percent of the businesses created in French Guiana this year were in this economic sector, compared to 14.4 percent in Martinique.
