As of 2024, exchanges engaged in many different environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives. Publish the exchanges' own sustainability report or include sustainability information in the annual report topped the list, with 43 exchanges taking the initiative. This was followed by running ESG capacity building events for issuers and investors. The least popular method of ESG engagement was initiatives related to preventing human rights abuses within supply chains.
