Total assets of insurance companies in Taiwan 2016-2022, by type
In 2022, the total assets of life insurance companies in Taiwan amounted to over 34 trillion New Taiwan dollars. In comparison to that, non-life insurers only had assets valued 453 billion New Taiwan dollars on their books. Together, the assets of all insurers accounted for around 34 percent of the total assets of all financial institutions in the region.
